Mrs. Sora Rauch
Principal
Mrs. Sora Rauch, TAM principal, has over 28 years experience in the field of education. Her teaching experience spans from third grade through high school in Baltimore, New York and Milwaukee. In Milwaukee she taught at both Hillel Academy and Yeshiva Elementary School. She has served as principal of TAM since its inception. She teaches several of our Judaic classes as well. Mrs. Alisa Avruch
Chumash, Parsha, Hilchos Shabbos
Mrs. Alisa Avruch attended Shulamith High School in New York and Michlala Jerusalem Seminary. Shortly after moving to Milwaukee 13 years ago she began teaching a Navi class at TAM. She subsequently added classes in Chumash, Parsha, Hilchos Shabbos and more. Mrs. Avruch loves learning and endeavors to imbue her students with a love of Torah and Yiddishkeit.
Mrs. Lauren Anton
Chumash, Navi and Halacha
Mrs. Lauren Anton married a Milwaukee native and spent the first seven years of married life in Jerusalem. They moved to Milwaukee in 1994 and that September she began teaching at TAM. She teaches Chumash, Navi and Halacha.
Mr. Michael Greene
Social Studies
Michael Greene holds a Bachelors degree in Government from Cornell University, a Masters in History from the University of Michigan and a law degree from Boston University. He joined the TAM faculty in 2003. Mr. Green is also an administration law judge with the Wisconsin Division of Hearings and Appeals. mgreene@wi.rr.com
Mrs. Horowitz
English 11th-12th grade
Mrs. Horowitz, who received her Master's degree in Literature from UCLA, is certified to teach English, Communications and Journalism. She worked as an editor, editorial director, and publisher for 11 years before retiring to raise two children. She is also certified to teach as an adjunct at Cardinal Stritch. She believes that literature and writing can not only be important in people's lives, but should be fun in class.
Mrs. Noa Levin
Hebrew teacher
Noa Levin, The Hebrew teacher 9th, 11th, 12th grades lived in Israel for 15 years. She graduated from Michlelet Emunah with an Israeli teaching certificate and taught art at Yehudah Halevi elementary school in Jerusalem. She completed the Montessori Training program in Omaha, Nebraska, and taught in a Jewish Montessori school named Yeshivat Sha'arei Simcha in Passaic, NJ.
Mrs. Michele Merens
English 9th-10th grade
Michele Merens, English teacher for the ninth and tenth grades, has more than six years of experience teaching at TAM. As well, She has taught at Cardinal Stritch University and Concordia University as well. She has a Masters Degree in Journalism from Northwestern University and a Bachelor's degree (senior scholar) from Barnard College. She is a member of the Dramatist's Guild and a published playwright and author.
Mrs. Suzanne Zigun
Biology and Physical Science
Suzanne Zigun has been teaching science for 15 years, the last 13 at TAM. She received her BS in Biology at Emory University and her Masters in education from the University of Hartford, in Connecticut. "The HIGHLIGHT of my November is chaperoning the TAM retreat!" suzanne@zigun.com
